GPS Recycling
The 2015 Festival, like all recent Festivals in Lower Town aims to be "Green Friendly". GPSP Recycle Now! will have a booth on the street near the Main Stage where they will accept all plastic for recycling.
The GPS team will also collect paper and cardboard from around the Festival. Merle Paschedeg will have his crew at his tent HQ on 7th Street and he's promised some surprise art project involving recycled goods.
GPSP (Greater Paducah Sustainability Project) is a wonderful local organization led by Merle Paschedeg, founded in 2006 and it deserves your support. Here is their mission statement:
"GPSP-RecycleNow is focused on the development and implementation of a long term sustainable recycling program within the city of Paducah and McCracken County with the ultimate goal of leading the Purchase Area's commitment to the responsible and proper handling of all recyclable materials."
