MORE FUN TO HAVE
What?! How can there be any more fun?
Turns out there is!
New this year will be a Sensory Tent. The street events wizard (hint: his initials are MT…) is planning a party for your senses. Enter the tent and be amazed!
The Googly Eyes will be looking out from the trees and bushes of the Festival again this year. You just never know where they’ll be!
Paducah is known around the world for its fiber arts with the National Quilt Museum and the Yeiser’s “Fantastic Fibers” exhibit. The LTAMF will celebrate this with its own Giant Weaving (Harrison and 6th Street). We’ll provide the warp, you get to grab material provided and do the weft!
Look for a tent at a Festival intersection full of words. That would the Poetry Playground (6th and Madison). Just like the smaller version that used to be on your fridge. Take turns with your friends grabbing a word from the pile to make make a poem!
Come and Play Dirty with the Paducah School of Art & Design (6th and Madison). PSAD will be set up with potters’ wheels and clay at the intersection of 6th and Madison on Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm. Come and try your hand at throwing…on the wheel, not at your neighbor please!
The raucus laughter you hear down at the end of 7th Street would be wildly popular Paducah Improv, who once again will pack in the crowds at the Laugh Tent next door to the Beer & Wine Tent.
Here is their schedule:
